Privacy policy

LIFTR Strength & Conditioning is run by HAXQUAT FITNESS LLP, a limited liability partnership registered in India (“LIFTR”, “we”, “us”). This policy explains what personal information we collect when you use liftr.fit, the LIFTR app or train at a LIFTR gym, what we do with it, who we share it with and the choices you have. It applies to our gyms in India, Sri Lanka and the UAE.

If you have a question about your data, email coaching@liftr.fit.

What we collect

When you apply or enquire

  • Your name, phone number and email address, the gym you chose, your goal, your usual batch time and when you'd like to be called.
  • Which page you applied from and, if you came from an advert, the campaign details in the link (UTM tags).
  • If you fill in the pre-sale questionnaire at a gym: your answers about your goals, what you've tried before and what's getting in the way, your date of birth, and whether you agree to your consult being recorded.

When you become a member

  • The details on your membership agreement, your programme, start and end dates, payments made and balances owed.
  • Consults with a coach may be recorded, with your consent, so we can train and review our coaches. You can decline at the start of the consult.
  • Attendance: when you check in at the gym, including through fingerprint or card readers at some gyms. Those readers store your fingerprint template on the device at the gym, not in the LIFTR app.

When you use the LIFTR app

  • Your health questionnaire (PAR-Q) answers, body measurements, daily weight, progress photos, and the targets you set with your coach.
  • Photos of your meals, and the calorie and macro estimates the app makes from them.
  • Messages, photos and voice notes you exchange with your coach. Voice notes are turned into text so they can be read in the chat, and a voice note about a meal is logged as that meal.
  • Gym check-ins: the date, the gym and your phone's location at the moment you scan the check-in code at the entrance, to confirm you're at the gym.
  • Workouts you log, your personal records, your weekly score, XP, streaks and points.
  • With your permission, steps, sleep, resting heart rate, VO2 max, workouts and active calories from your phone or watch through Health Connect (Android) or Apple Health (iPhone). We only read this data; we never write to it.
  • The camera, microphone and photo library, only when you use them and after you allow it: to photograph meals, take progress photos, scan the gym check-in code and record voice notes.
  • Device information needed to run the app and send notifications (a push token, device type, app version). The app only reads your location while you scan the check-in code and never tracks it in the background.

When you visit liftr.fit

  • The gym you last picked is remembered in your browser so the site shows the right gym next time. We don't use this to identify you.
  • Standard server logs (IP address, pages requested, browser type) kept for security and to keep the site running.
  • Anonymous page counts: which pages are viewed, the site or advert that sent you, and whether you're on a phone. No cookies, no IP address, nothing that identifies you.
  • Advertising measurement: liftr.fit loads the Meta Pixel so we can see which adverts led to an application. Meta may set cookies on its own terms. See “Cookies” below.

What we use it for

  • To call you back and book your consult when you apply.
  • To coach you: your coach sees your meals, weight, steps, sleep, measurements, photos and messages so they can set your plan and reply.
  • To estimate the calories and macros in your meal photos. The app sends the photo to an AI provider for the estimate. Your coach can correct it.
  • To run your membership: payments, renewals, pauses, gym access and attendance.
  • To message you about your programme, reminders, renewals and gym closures by WhatsApp, SMS, email and app notification. Marketing messages only with your consent; reply STOP or use the unsubscribe link at any time.
  • To improve our coaching: recorded consults and coach replies are reviewed and scored, sometimes with the help of AI tools, so coaches get better.
  • To show results and market LIFTR: 6 Week Challenge members agree, when they sign up, that we may use their before and after photos, results and testimonials, and photos or videos taken during sessions, in our marketing. Tell your coach, the gym team or coaching@liftr.fit if you don't want yours used and we'll stop.
  • To keep the site and app secure, prevent spam and meet our legal obligations.

Who we share it with

We don't sell your personal information. We share it with providers who process it for us under contract, only for the purposes above:

  • GoHighLevel (customer records, WhatsApp, SMS and email sending) and Meta (WhatsApp Business messaging).
  • Anthropic (AI estimates from meal photos and messages, and review of coaching replies) and OpenAI (turning voice notes into text). Under their business terms, neither uses your data to train its models.
  • Cashfree (India) and Stripe (UAE) for payments. We never see or store your full card number.
  • Railway, MongoDB and Cloudflare (hosting and storage), Expo and Google Firebase (app notifications), Exotel (phone calls).
  • Google (Health Connect, maps, reviews, and YouTube, which plays the exercise demo videos in the app) and Apple (Apple Health), under their own terms.
  • Our coaches and staff at the gym you train at, and the LIFTR team that supports them.
  • Authorities, when the law requires it, and professional advisers when we need advice.

Our servers are in Asia (Singapore). Some providers are outside the country you live in (for example in the United States or Singapore). Where that happens we rely on their contractual commitments to protect your data.

How long we keep it

  • Applications and enquiries: up to 24 months after our last contact, so we can follow up and know you've spoken to us before.
  • Membership, payment and attendance records: 8 years, as Indian tax and accounting law requires.
  • App data (meals, measurements, photos, chat): for as long as you have an account, and up to 12 months after your membership ends so you can come back. Delete your app account and it goes straight away (within 30 days if you ask us by email).
  • Consult recordings: up to 12 months.
  • Published before and after photos: until you ask us to take them down.

Your choices and rights

  • Ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Ask us to correct it, or to delete it where we don't need to keep it by law.
  • Withdraw consent for recordings, marketing messages, wearable access or published photos at any time. Wearable access is switched off in your phone's settings.
  • Delete your app account in the app (You → Delete my account), or by email. See Delete your app account.

Email coaching@liftr.fit with your request and the phone number on your membership. We answer within 30 days. If you're in India and are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

Children

You can train with LIFTR, and use the app, from age 13. Members under 18 join only with a parent or guardian's signed consent, and the guardian is responsible for the account. We never use the data of members under 18 for advertising.

Security

Your data is stored on encrypted connections and servers, access is limited to staff who need it for their role, and app sign-in uses one-time codes rather than passwords. No system is perfectly secure; if we learn of a breach that affects you, we'll tell you and the relevant authority as the law requires.

Cookies

liftr.fit stores your chosen gym in your browser's local storage. It also loads the Meta Pixel, which may set cookies to measure which adverts led to a visit or an application (page views and the fact that an application was sent, never the details you typed). You can block these cookies in your browser without affecting the site.

Changes

We'll post any changes here and update the date at the top. If a change affects how we use data you've already given us, we'll tell you in the app or by message before it takes effect.

Governing law

This policy is governed by the laws of India. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka. Local law in Sri Lanka and the UAE may give members there additional rights, which this policy doesn't limit.
